Runs small to use with the insert.
In my opinion, these shoes run small. I ordered an 8W and I cannot use the insert that the shoe came with. I would have ordered an 81/2 had I know that the shoe was not created for sizing with the insert. If I were to order any shoe that I wanted to put an orthotic in I would order a half size up. I knew there was a 30-day return policy, but I didn't realize at the time that I could wear them and return or exchange them. Overall the shoe is comfortable without the orthotic, but I believe my foot would be more supported and could maybe have better pain reduction in my back if I were able to utilize the orthotic.

Not sure if I have problem feet- but these shoes have hurt my feet like no other shoe has before. I purchased a size 10 they were too big then I exchanged them for a 91/2 and after waking for a hour i could barely make it home. The back of my heel hurt so bad with the shoe sliding off the back of my heel as I walked. I have tried with and without the orthotic soles that they came with- when without- them. When I tried with the "comfort" soles- they were so tight and my foot slipped constantly and my instep was painful after a mile walk (no way I could run in these) I called customer service I was told...maybe these shoes are not for me. I was very disappointed to hear that.
i got the red ones and have no problems, the inserts are to make shoe feel comfortable, you dont have to use them. if they are too big use the extra yellow one, if too tight use the not so think insole. i have tarel tunnel in mt ankle and also plantar facitis. no pain with these shoe.. love them
