Women's GDEFY Ion Athletic Shoes

I recently had a broken bone in my foot and was in a lot of pain. I stand on concrete all day and teach classes and could never get away from very sore feet even before the break. When I received my shoes I did as instructed and put the yellow sizing insert in first. The shoe fits perfect and I can now walk around with no pain. I can feel the cushion between me and the hard floor and I am now actually a few inches taller lol. I will be ordering a few other styles from GD to keep my feet happy and pain free.

I bought these shoes four months ago and wear them most days. No flare-ups of plantar fasciitis. We have been on two vacations and I have walked miles in them with no pain in my feet, hips or back. I wouldn't be able to do that without these shoes. In fact, in the morning I hobble around until I'm back in my shoes. Thank you for so much comfort and the ability to enjoy my life. I have passed my catalog on to someone I know who is on her feet all day long. My only complaint is that I have been trying to order a dressier shoe and can't get my size.

A year later and I am satisfied with this buy. I work 12 hour shifts in healthcare and these shoes are with out a doubt one of the best for comfort. The wide flat feet I have means that by the end of the day my dogs were killing me. These shoes help me cope with that misfortune. The spring makes a HUGE difference in the ease of walking. Although it is not advertised as slip resistant, It performs well in slippery situations. My critique is some of the aesthetics. The accent color starts to fade after a few months. Also, since it is used for healthcare I would prefer it to not have the mesh. I know gdefy has the work shoes but they just don't look like they would be as awesome as these are for my kind of foot problems.

I bought these hoping to control my plantar faciitis, and could not be happier. I've bought an additional pair of sandals and casual shoes for myself, a pair of walking shoes for my husband (who has flat feet) and a pair of walking shoes for my mother. We are all extremely satisfied with these shoes. What a difference in everyday activities and all day walking. I encourage anyone concerned about taking care of their feet to get a pair.

I absolutely love these made in USA shoes!! I wear sz 8 wide width, so, I bought 1 size up 9 ww, i put the extra insert in, & it fits perfectly!! These shoes are so COMFORTABLE!!!! I needed a comfortable shoe because I suffer from Planter Fasciitis in one foot. My job requires me to be on my feet six hours a day, five days a week and I had been searching for a shoe to accommodate my needs. The moment I tried this shoe on, I knew they were the ones for me. I absolutely love the trampoline type feeling in the heel when I walk. I would highly recommend anyone to give these a try. I will definitely be considering buying another pair for outside of work as well!

I recently joined the gym and was having excruciating arch cramps, to the point that I had to stop frequently due to the pain. I have had this issue in the past, but never this bad. My trainer said it sounded like plantar fasciitis, so I began my search for ways to help ease the pain. Found these shoes (the Ion) and cannot believe how well they work! I can get through my entire hour-long workout now; I'd say that my pain is reduced by 90%. I would recommend these shoes to anyone suffering from plantar fasciitis. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the color choices/design are pretty unattractive. I got the black/white, and the white really accentuates the way the shoe is built up around the bottom. They look silly, frankly, though the relief they give is well worth it. I see there is now a gray/blue version that looks a bit better, but how about some more neutral colors (with the bottom half of the shoe the same as the top, so the height/huge bottom portion of the shoe is not so obvious)?

I wear them most of the time. They are very comfortable, and I place great importance on comfort. Very sturdy. Someone noticed them in a store, and asked me what they are like. I told him that once you put your foot in them, you would mortgage your house to buy more. I am ordering more today. I have recommended them to everybody I know.

I had these shoes for two days. Day one, they weren't great because I put my orthotic in without the provided innersole. My feet hurt. Day two, I put back the included innersole with my orthotics on top and spontaneously started running. Running and walking fast felt effortless. I was bouncing along the sidewalk with none of my usual foot pains. I noticed that when walking slowly in these shoes, I didn't get the bounce.Therefore, it made me feel like walking fast and I got lots of good exercise all day. When I got home, I usually leave my shoes at the front door. But, I found these so comfortable, I didn't want to take them off. The innersoles made all the difference in absorbing shock. A little heavy, but once I got used to the weight, I love this shoe. Will buy more.

I like this shoe. I have weak knees and my ankles roll in, so finding a shoe that helps me walk without pain and discomfort is a pleasure. These are supportive and allow me to wear my orthotics with them. I would tecommend them to anyone who needs a lot of support.

I have heel spurs and have orthotics from foot doctor. I didn't even need them with these shoes. I just use both insoles that came with the shoes. They are very comfortable and wide enough. The only complaint I have is after wearing them for a couple of weeks a hole in each shoe appeared in the mesh area above the toe where it creases when walking. After a couple more weeks the holes got larger. They aren't the whole way through just the top layer of the mesh. If it wasnt for that i would have rated them 5 stars instead of 4.

I've been buying Gravity Defyer for a few years now and I'm not even sure how many pair I've bought. At least 4. I have this style currently and it's been working so well, I got too comfortable and started wearing other shoes to work. Well, that was okay for a while but then I started having trouble with my plantar fasciitis again so I'm back in my Gravity Defyers again. And since they're a little worse for wear, I'm back to buy another pair. I'm normally pretty cheap when it comes to shoes but these are well worth the expense.

I have lower disc pain & not able to walk far or for long. I got these shoes, put my own orthotics in & in 2 days, I was walking straight and the pain was decreasing. After a few more days I walk straight and tall and no longer have pain. I plan to order another pair in a different color. It sounds "too good to be true" & I am not easily swayed, but after trying everything else I figured I had nothing to lose & I don't want surgery. Truly love these shoes!

I did a Google search for: gym shoes for hurting feet and this company popped up.... I’m so happy I didn’t give up on looking... I love the non-impact feel on heel... and now I can get back to walking proper again...

I’ve never spent this much for a gym shoe before and yes I’ll always love a discount at times when they happen... but with this shoe it’s worth it!!!

Shoe is comfortable, but top at big toe and at bend of toes mesh has torn for no reason, just normal walking use.

These shoes are outstanding! My feet, lower legs and back hurt when I stand for to long. I have tried so many different types of shoes and I finally found the perfect ones will definitely will buy again!!!

I already have a pair of mighty walks, which are wonderful, so I decided to try another pair of Gravity defyers. I love this shoe even more then the Mighty Walks. I have the world's worst feet. For years I have been on a quest to find a shoe that would not hurt my feet. I had never found one, until I found Gravity Defyers. This shoe has truly been life changing. I can now walk without my feet killing me. They are so comfortable. I am amazed. I never thought that I was actually going to find a shoe that allowed me to walk and feel good on my feet. HIghly recommend.

Great excellent sneakers these are the only sneakers that I can also use have tried other expensive sneakers and also had to return them but these are my everyday use the only thing that’s a bit akwards is the high heel looks a bit funny looking wish It would be a little stylish overall there wonderful to walk in I’m also on my feet 8 hours food service supervisor and Have plantar fasciitis but these are like marshmallows walking with them no more pain love these I would order over and over again I have had these for just over 2 years

I work in retail and I am on my feet 10 to 12 hours a day. I needed a comfy shoe, so my back, legs, knees wouldn't be so sore. So I decided to try these shoes. THEY ARE AMAZING!!!! MY BACK ,FEET AND KNEES FEEL GREAT!!!. But the only thing I wish the carried different colors instead of black in slip resistant shoes, with a composite toe!! Otherwise Great Shoes.

These shoes have almost diminished my knee and hip pain. I have RA and have had knee problems. I didn’t realize how misaligned my body was to compensate for the pain. You have to follow the directions and wear them and get used to them. They have changed my life.

Bought these to help with a hammer toe issue, and needed a wide toe box, but my whole foot feels better. Love them.

I have plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis. These shoes are amazing! So comfortable and my feet don't hurt even after a full day at work. I will definitely order more!!! Extremely happy.

A nurse turned CEO of my own company. After years of nursing then walking in hospitals in management in heels the ball of my foot was gone and I was "walking on bones"! Ball of foot atrophy (same thing distance runners experience). I had over 50 pairs of almost new shoes that I could NOT wear!😕 Got these 6 weeks ago and now wear 90% of the time. Have more pairs on back order that I'm waiting for. I couldn't do activities with friends or grandbabies anymore. Saw multiple doctors to no avail. Collagen injection are $15,000 for this condition! These have been life changing. Defy Gravity please make my new shoes faster!!! People are tired of seeing these. 😊😊 lol
